Review: Mataa e Jaan hai tu

Assalam o alikum everybody, So just finished another great book named “Mataa e Jaan hai tu” by Farhat Ishtiaq. It is second novel that I read by Farhat Ishtiaq, the first one was Bin roye Ansu. Anyhow, Being very keen of Urdu literature, I was very enthusiastic for reading this book as I have heard its such a great novel.

So, about novel.. I just loved it. I loved every inch of it. the characters, the beauty, the simplicity of relationships, without some stupid conspiracy, it was such a great emotional novel that made me cry from beginning to the end. A love story that touches the core of your heart.

One of my most favorite phase of this novel was when Haniya was facing the severe trauma, it just blew my mind and I just cannot define it in words how much close these characters become to my life. Each and every character was well defined, simple yet full of emotions.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the novel was exaggeration of English words. I’m not an anti-English person, but while we are reading Urdu literature we expect it to be in Urdu rather in some other language. Even many simple words that could be easily defined in Urdu were replaced by its English. Otherwise, the novel was beautifully written and the scenario was created beautifully.
